Africa is experiencing significant population growth. Its population is expected to double by 2050 reaching more than 2.2 billion inhabitants. This population growth further accentuates the challenge of access to drinking water and sanitation services in Africa. Hence the need to find new techniques to meet the expectations of Africans.
Actors and experts from the water sector will showcase new water and wastewater treatment solutions at Water Africa, which is scheduled to take place from March 11 to 13, 2020 in Kigali, the capital of Rwanda. It is an exhibition where exhibitors will showcase the latest products, services and technologies in wastewater treatment, urban drainage, canal construction and sewage treatment plants.
Seminars will also be held during Water Africa, in partnership with the Institute of Architects of Rwanda. They will focus on water and sanitation in rural and urban areas. A continuing professional development workshop on integrated urban water management will be facilitated by Rwandan engineers.
