The International Organisation of La Francophonie (OIF) recently launched the franco-fil.org digital platform. This new digital hub is the result of a competition to reward responsible innovation by women entrepreneurs from several African countries, members of the OIF.
A new platform has been created within the International Organisation of the Francophonie (OIF). The website franco-fil.org was launched as part of an alliance between the French company for the encouragement of national industry (SEIN), the Permanent Conference of African and Francophone Consular Chambers (CPCCAF) and their partners. The aim of the initiative is to “foster the development of innovative and responsible projects and encourage collaboration within the French-speaking countries.”
“This partnership underlines the relevance of co-construction, with each party bringing its strengths to the table. The CPCCAF brings its network, and Franco-fil.org complements the measures we are deploying in favour of vocational and entrepreneurial training that contribute to improving the employability of young people, gender equality or access to digital technology”, explains Mounir Mouakhar, chairman of the CPCCAF.
As part of the start-up, the new digital platform is organizing a competition that rewards sustainable innovation and entrepreneurship in the member countries of the International Organisation of La Francophonie (OIF), the vast majority of which are in Africa. franco-fil.org will be awarding three prizes focusing on energy transition, the rational agro-economy and environmentally-friendly innovation.
The reward!
According to the contest rules, the participant must represent a legal entity and must have its head office in a French-speaking country. The participant’s activities must take place in at least one of the OIF member countries. Interested companies have until July 31, 2020 to apply.
“Presential and digital events will be organized as of September 2020, so that all participants can benefit from information sessions on these themes, or highlighting with entrepreneurship actors,” says the digital platform franco-fil.org. For each of the three categories of the call for projects, the winner will receive a grant of 5,000 euros.
