The Africa Green Bonds Summit (AGBS) will take place from November 7-8, 2019 in London, the capital of the United Kingdom. The summit will bring together investors, policy makers, regulators and other stakeholders in the green finance market. Together, they will explore the opportunities, risks and challenges associated with green bond markets in Africa. The other objective of the forum is to promote measures to facilitate the availability of green investments. To do this, bond issuers and project managers will have to be brought into contact.
AGBS 2019 will explore investment opportunities in the following sectors: renewable energy, energy efficiency, water management, biodiversity conservation, waste management, clean transport, urban development, etc. The Green Bond Fair is an opportunity for green project leaders and entrepreneurs with bankable projects, who are looking for financing, to get in touch with potential investors.
Here are some of the themes that will animate the discussions during this summit:
– Roles of African policy makers in the expansion of green bond markets;
– Emerging market for green bonds in Africa;
– Financing green infrastructure in Africa (Case studies and projects);
– Risks and effective risk management strategies;
– Considerations for Green Bond Investors in Africa;
