The green city of Andou-M’Batto is on track. The real estate project was launched on 10 March 2023 near the town of Alépé, in the Greater Abidjan area of Ivory Coast. The Ivorian company Victoire Immobilier is carrying out the work on a site of about 6,000 hectares bordering the Comoé River for 20 km. “This ecological project, which we are supporting, will make it possible to provide a sustainable response to the housing problem, but above all to the problem of the living environment and the harmonious urban environment of the people living in this part of the country,” says Bruno Nabagné Koné, the Ivorian Minister of Construction, Housing and Urban Planning.
Victoire Immobilier is building the ecological city, valued at hundreds of billions of CFA francs, as part of a public-private partnership (PPP). According to the Ivorian authorities, the locality of Andou-M’Batto is already a heavenly site in itself, especially because of its proximity to the Comoé, one of the most beautiful rivers in Ivory Coast. Victoire Immobilier will therefore take advantage of these natural assets to develop sustainable tourism through the creation of ecological parks, playgrounds and sports fields.

The future green city will also include residences, police and gendarmerie stations, schools, shopping centres, health centres, a market, a railway station, places of worship, administrative reserves and a waste disposal site to preserve the environment. In addition, forests will be preserved and energy sources will be diversified. “From a dream, we are now a reality. The project will also allow us to secure our land. Because each family, each landowner will have a definitive concession decree (ACD) on their plot of land required for the project,” explains Joseph Dindji, president of the Andou-M’Batto development mutual.
Victoire Immobilier will recruit local labour to complete the project, which will involve over 2,000 young people from Andou-M’Batto.
