After an absence of three years, the Pollutec Morocco trade fair is back with great fanfare for its 12th edition in the tourist city of Casablanca. From 14 to 17 September 2022, the event, which will henceforth be called “Global Green Event by Pollutec”, will bring together some 10,000 participants from 47 European countries and all regions of Africa. They will address environmental concerns accentuated by climate change and the war in Ukraine.
These are mainly water, waste, energy and agriculture. During four days, the 300 exhibitors of Pollutec Morocco will explore sustainable innovations to strengthen the circular economy on the African continent. The event, organised in partnership with Forum 7 and Reed Exposition France, is jointly coordinated by the Moroccan Ministry of Energy Transition and Sustainable Development and the Ministry of Industry and Trade.
“Global Green Event by Pollutec is positioned as the benchmark event for environmental professionals. It is also a showcase of solutions for industry, cities and regions,” say the organisers. Thus, start-ups developing technologies for air quality, waste recovery, wastewater treatment, energy efficiency and renewable energies as well as eco-construction will be present to exchange ideas and establish partnerships.

During its tenth edition in October 2018, Pollutec Morocco rewarded several young Moroccan eco-entrepreneurs with 150,000 dirhams (more than 14,000 euros) each for their green projects. This was part of the Cleantech Trophies supported by the Global Environment Facility (GEF) and the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO).
