The Agence Française de Développement (AFD) is a French financial institution dedicated to international development. This bank is particularly active in Africa where it finances many sustainable development projects. These include renewable energies, water (wastewater, drinking water, desalination, etc.), waste management and sustainable city projects. AFD also supports the private sector via its subsidiary PROPARCO which invests in companies, financial institutions and social investment funds.
