"Water security for peace and sustainable development". This is the theme of the 9th World Water Forum (WWF) in Dakar, Senegal. The discussions that began on March 21, 2022 between governments, the private sector and civil society organizations will continue until March 27, 2022. A week during which decision-makers and professionals will formulate concrete proposals for achieving the United Nations (UN) Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 6 by 2030. These exchanges are taking place at a time when 418 million people still do not have access to even basic drinking water services, 779 million to basic sanitation services and 839 million to basic sanitation according to the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF).
