In Tunisia, the Green4Youth programme is launching a call for projects to select its fourth cohort. Start-ups proposing solutions in favour of sustainable development have until 17 May 2022 to submit their application and convince of their impact on environmental preservation, job creation potential and innovation capacity.

After its third edition, which rewarded eight environmental projects in November 2021, the Tunisian Green4Youth programme is back with a focus on sustainable development. The initiative concerns start-ups active in the field of the green economy and whose projects are notably focused on renewable energies, agriTech, eco-construction, green mobility, the circular economy and biodiversity. Start-ups and small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) have until 17 May 2022 to apply.

For its fourth edition, the programme implemented by Tunisian investors Impact Partner and Flat6Labs will identify a total of eight start-ups throughout the country, with the prize of 30,000 Tunisian dinars (more than €9,000) for each of them. In addition to this financial support, the winners will also benefit from the support of several experts, notably on budgeting in the start-up phase, partnerships and negotiation, optimisation of the business model, legal and administrative measures and communication.

For its third cycle, which is still in the process of being implemented, Green4Youth, which is supported by the World Bank through its subsidiary, the International Finance Corporation (IFC), has awarded prizes to the following companies: Kumulus, Comporoll, Robocare, Factoorya, Seniatna, My-Oya, Dar Si Said, and IRIS Technology. Most of these start-ups are expected to attend the first edition of the International Forum on Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) to be held in the northern city of Hammamet from 12 to 14 May 2022. The event will focus on the ecological transition and sustainable development in business strategies.
