Four eco-entrepreneurs will be chosen to receive support from the incubator of Lab’ess, member of the Pulse group and partner of Circulab. The sectors concerned by the call for applications are waste reduction and management, the circular economy, the fight against food waste, recycling, waste recovery and transformation, eco-innovation and eco-design. This initiative is part of the MED-InA project and the ENI CBC Med program, both of which aim to promote the development of initiatives that generate positive environmental and social impact in the Mediterranean. For the incubators, developing the green and circular economy around the “Big Blue” involves creating jobs, especially for young people and women.
In addition to inclusion in a support program, the selected project leaders will receive between 5,000 and 10,000 euros for the development of their respective project. This initiative was born out of a clear observation: the municipality of Marsa is faced with major environmental challenges and excessive expenses to collect and treat waste. The objective is to support four innovative initiatives in the fight against the proliferation of solid waste in this part of Tunisia.
The MED-InA project is also part of the “Zero Waste” initiative for Mediterranean cities to reduce pollution and promote recycling. The project leaders interested in the call for expressions of interest of Lab’ess have until November 14th, 2021 to submit the application form.
