West Africa Water Expo is a water treatment and technology trade fair held from 10 to 12 July 2018 in Lagos, the Nigerian capital. Today, the country is the leading economic power in Africa, ahead of South Africa. With more than 190 million people, it is the continent’s largest population power ahead of Egypt and could overtake the United States as the third largest in the world by 2050, with nearly 400 million people. Between 2003 and 2013, the average growth rate was 6% per year. After a slight 2-year low, due to the fall in oil prices, the country has emerged from recession. Nigeria remains one of Africa’s most promising growth poles and is now the largest recipient of foreign direct investment in Africa. Its diversification is well under way.
